Let’s discover how the cancer-resistant mouse works. Then celebrate it with a beautiful genome poster.
-We will first analyze the genome of an amazing cancer-resistant mouse (hoping to unlock its secrets).
-Then, we will create a beautiful and educational poster displaying the cancer-resistant genome. The poster will recognize Kickstarter project funders through a “Kickstarter genome” graphic and include your own personalized messages.
Dr. Zheng Cui, MD, PhD, of Wake Forest discovered amazing mice that are cancer-resistant. We will work with him to analyze the genome through a process called “whole-exome” sequencing. This could lead to an understanding of how the cancer-resistance works.
The poster will display the cancer-resistant genome along with other information related to cancer and genetics. In the past, there have been several examples of genome posters/designs (examples shown below). But, none of the designs have that certain je nais se quoi. In other words, my wife will not let me hang them in the living room.
The “Kickstarter genome” graphic will list the initials of $10 funders and up. Each set of initials will also be heat-mapped, with different colors based on the size of their donation, so you will be able to easily see the largest donors. Custom messages will be shown for $45 funders and up.
