I searched far and wide for a fashionable way to carry wipes that would keep them moist. . .  

To my surprise, I could not find it.  So more than three years ago, I decided to design and invent one.  Many designs, lawyers, engineers, and consultants later, it's been an interesting road with a huge learning curve... but I finally received my prototypes this Fall.  And I'm so excited!!!  Here are the four gorgeous designs:

I call it.... "OSHIBOREE"

Oshibori (OH-shee-BOH-ree) is actually the Japanese word for that wonderful hot or cold towel you get at the beginning of a meal in a sushi bar or on an airplane.  Because it's just so great to have a wet wipe when ya need one, I thought that would be a great name for this lovely accessory.

A bit of a human element...

For the in-mold design, I am using artwork from original oil paintings by artist, Mark R. Wagner.  I like the idea of bringing something more organic to something 'hard' and practical. Here you can see the prototype which could only be done with a sticker, but the final will have the artwork become part of the plastic, so it will cover the whole lid.  

Here is a prototype compared to a computer enhanced image of what it will look like.  Hinge will be much less visible and artwork will go further.

Also, the whole thing is coated with 'soft touch' to give it this really cool 'soft' feeling, as well as make it easy to clean and not too slippery.  My engineers are highly qualified and have designed the Oshiboree with high production quality in mind to  create something both practical and beautiful.

Pretty on the inside...

There's a happy surprise when you open the Oshiboree as well.  The exterior image is repeated in black & white with the Oshiboree logo superimposed.  For example, the Cobalt/Daisy design above will open to:

Finally, moist wipes when you need 'em!

Refillable, of course, the Oshiboree holds up to 15-20 wipes, and because of the unique design, your wipes won't dry out before you can use them! Now that's somethin' to sing about!*

Where do the funds go?

My goal is to make the first 10,000 units in the Full size, eventually planning 2 other sizes, Oshiboree Slim for flushable wipes, and Oshiboree Face for facial cleansing wipes.   The "tooling" is the most expensive part of starting production,  so I am attempting to fund  the first 10,000 units.  I have funded many thousands of dollars on my own so far. As you can see, I am committed to ending the plastic baggie in your purse! And that big ol' bucket of dried out wipes in your car....
