Hello and thank you beautiful Quiet Girl backers!

This is our THANK YOU to all of you who have helped us reach our goal!  The response has been overwhelming and amazing.  Thanks to your generous support, we reached 50% of our funding in just a few hours of project launch.  That was a shock to the old ticker.  A week later when we made our goal, my heart back-flipped around my house, upsetting my cat.  Now, with two weeks to go, we are extending our campaign and have a big awesome announcement  to make. My heart may just very well explode.  Yet even with all this life-threatening supernatural heart activity, we have yet more to rally. THE WORK IS NOT OVER my friends.  We surpassed our original goal, but that was the very minimum amount to realize our most modest goals for this film, and with more funds we can fully create The Quiet Girl's Guide to well, Everything.

But I think I should make that sexy reward announcement first, because it's awesome.  So so very awesome.  I reached out to the universe for the most incredible artist I could find for our poster and the universe provided big time.  So while the poster itself will remain a mystery for now, I can reveal that the man creating it is none other than legendary comic book artist and painter, PHIL NOTO!!  Phil is best known for his work for DC comics (Jonah Hex, Batgirl, Batman, Wonder Woman),  Marvel (X-23, X-Men Unlimited), and Dark Horse (Hellboy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Danger Girl).  He draws women like nobody else.  You can see samples of his latest work and his personal favorites on his tumblr.  And now you know why I'm so excited!!  The Limited Edition Quiet Girl poster by Phil Noto is available at the BIG STICK level of donation. You may want to up that pledge of yours.

I'd also like to announce our new funding goal of $10,000.  When we originally conceived this Quiet Girl universe, it was never just a short film.  It was always intended as a series.  To that end, the script functions as a pilot episode, and we intend to have a 23 minute cut to serve that purpose.  The festival version will be around 10 minutes or less.  Like a comic book, the premise of the series is wide open to a character-rich world.  We even saved certain actors during casting that we envisioned in roles in further episodes.   The response to our campaign is beyond local, is beyond friends and colleagues.  We have substantial donations and interest from people that are new to us.  Their investment demonstrates that this project is finding an audience, and maybe with your help, we can provide them with more Quiet Girl episodes.
