About this project
In a first of its kind event, in late Spring or Summer, 2010, we will promote our electric car technology and our music in the same tour, cooperating with major environmental organizations (see our listing at this site) to promote the conversion of automobiles from gas to all-electric – one of the themes in our environmental song and video, “Our World.
We will launch the tour as we release an album that includes “Our World” and several love songs. You can see and hear clips when you click on our Kickstarter video. Randy Hall, co-arranger of the Miles Davis gold album, The Man With The Horn, wrote and produced the music. Elliott Small is the lead singer (Randy works only with the best), an Obama Convention Delegate, and the owner of the company that built the tour’s high performance luxury all-electric 4 door sedan (100 mph top speed, 140 mile range) by converting a brand new Acura TL straight from the dealer.
We will have car demonstrations and musical events in west coast cities, including Hollywood and Las Vegas, and we will seek celebrity participation. For each $10,000 that we raise above our $50,000 goal, we will add a city toward the east, with the goal of expanding the tour to a coast to coast event. The locations of our Kickstarter backers will be a factor in our selections. Also, after we pass $50,000 we will ensure a stop in a backer’s area and share publicity with that backer for a contribution of $10,000 or more. I was born and raised in Chicago, and currently live in Las Vegas, NV. I am both a singer and a chemist. You can see my musical bio at http://elliottsmall.com. Performances include singing with the legendary Archie Shepp at the Theatre de Chelles in France and being selected by Washington DC's WPFW Radio for its Spring Showcase Concert Series.
I am founder of electric vehicle technology company Potential Difference (http://potentialdifference.com). I have experience with rapid battery charger development and electric car conversion. I have also worked as director of the Commerce Department funded Technology Commercialization Center in Washington, DC, a computer consultant/programmer, and a chemist at General Foods (acquired by Kraft Foods). I have an A.B. in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard University.
