Hello, my name is Chris Staples. I'm a musician and songmaker from Seattle, Wa. Thank you for stopping by my kickstarter page. Im currently writing/recording a new full-length record. In the past I've released my music on small labels or just handmade versions. This will be my first release that i manufacture cd's independently. I'm very excited about the project and I think kickstarter is so wonderful for helping artists connect with their fans and fund creative pursuits.
I'll be recording this project myself at my home studio in Seattle.
What I plan to accomplish:
1. Pay for the tracks to be mastered by a mastering engineer.
2. Pay a graphic designer to prep the art and layout for the cd.
3. Cover the costs of manufacturing the CD.
4. Pay for the record to be serviced to online digital distributors(itunes, amazon, etc.)

One lucky person gets my autographed Recording King "000" body style acoustic guitar used in the making of my new record. This is a replica of a 1930's Recording King sold at Montgomery Ward department stores, and a favorite of famous southern bluesmen. It's the guitar i'm playing in the kickstarter video.
