Animated Minerals is a full length dance production, inspired by the human body's energetic systems and our Earth's precious gems and minerals. We will perform in the Enchanted Forest during SXSW this March. This is a series of 7 dances investigating our body's energy centers/chakras/vortices. By kinesthetically researching our body's 7 subtle gateways to freedom, we are creating a deeply transformative experience for the artist as well as the audience. Starting at our Root and exploding through our Crown, this project amplifies the complex nature of Performance Art by collaborating with many art forms and many artists. Animated Minerals will include ballet, modern, flamenco, aerial fabric, living human statues, contact improvisation, theatrical avant-garde dance, soul chorus, underwater video, and live musical composition. 

The Enchanted Forest is an outdoor venue and an Austin jewel. It has been preserved with dedication to remain an oasis of nature, peace, mystery, and expressive magic. The Enchanted Forest is 4 acres of sculpted raw earth in the middle of the city for artists to dwell in, perform in, work in, while cultivating creative and sustainable community.
