About this project

COP DAD - Magazine of the Exceptional Personal Experience. It's like a print version of This American Life - but with more sex and drugs.

This premiere issue features a motorcycle road trip taken as a conceptual art piece, BINGO hall mysteries, and an online Hollywood hookup with a horrific climax. Also, actual FUTUREGAY Alexis Blair Penny tells a 1983 gay porn mag what it's really like living in the 21st century, and a decorating book saves a child's sanity. Oh and this one guy developed a formula for calculating how much effort to put into relationships - so, you might find that useful.

Please help me bring these real-life stories and more into print. I'd love COP DAD to be as inexpensive as possible - or even free!

This issue of COP DAD is estimated to be 80 b/w pages laying 8"x11" when open, with an initial run of 750-1000 (which costs about $1200 to produce). I plan to publish once or twice a year. Oh and there'll be an amazing launch party for sure.

Any additional funds will immediately go towards paying the contributors, printing more copies, or production of the next issue.

I promise COP DAD won't bore you.

[And thanks to Kurtz & Bomber for their hot track "Never Sleeping"]

My first book Obscene Interiors: Hardcore Amateur Decor, was published in 2004 by Baby Tattoo Press, with a foreword by Todd Oldham

Dave Eggers said "Obscene Interiors is not only a cruelly brilliant idea but It's executed with great cunning and even some warmth." Fight Club author Chuck Palahniuk said "Obscene Interiors is the funniest, dirtiest, book I have seen in years." And Amy Sedaris decalred, "Obscene Interiors is an incredibly useful book. My imaginary boyfriend and I pick it up whenever we need ideas for how not to decorate.”"

Originally from Fargo ND, I've lived in LA for nearly 20 years.
