Six Shooters is a collective of six British music photographers and we're bringing their show to Los Angeles for BritWeek in April 2012
Hi, Welcome to our Kickstarter campaign! We are two LA based Australian lasses from the worlds of art and music who are trying to raise money to bring this fantastic exhibition of extraordinary music photography from London to Los Angeles. We have been fortunate enough to have the exhibition accepted as a part of BritWeek LA 2012 to be held at the legendary Mr. Musichead gallery on the Sunset Blvd April 21st - May 5th, 2012. There will be a reception party, special events, "meet & greets," music events and a book signing, (dates to be announced) to be held during the duration of the exhibition. We hope to see you there!
We fell in love this project and feel it is the perfect intersection of music and art - the two things that enrich the human experience and for which we have a great passion. We want to share this!
We have been working hard to find sponsorship to cover some of the costs involved in bringing this exhibition from London to Los Angeles however we still need your support! We need further help to cover the framing costs, freighting of the artwork, promotional materials, signage, catalogue printing & to bring these six talented artists over from London to be present at their first US exhibition!
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Six Shooters is an exhibition of work by six London-based rock music photographers - Andrew Cotterill, Andy Fallon, Paul Harries, Mick Hutson, Roger Sargent & Andy Willsher whos' work appears in publications such as NME, Mojo, NME, Q, Metal Hammer & Kerrang & Uncut.
Photographic subjects include Morrissey, Paul Weller, Beth Ditto, Jarvis Cocker, Lee Scatch Perry, Lemmy, Lily Allen, Ozzy Osbourne, Richard Ashcroft, The Libertines, Oasis, The Strokes, The White Stripes and many more.

Taking place April 24 - May 7 this year, BritWeek is “THE celebration of British excellence in California. BritWeek, (a non-profit organization) operates with cooperation from US & UK government entities, leading businesses and local organizations of all sizes to produce a stellar line-up of events for every budget and inclination. ABOUT MR. MUSICHEAD GALLERY
In 1996 Steven A. (Sam) Milgrom, former Detroit rock musician, music retailer, & concert club owner relocated to Los Angeles and opened a rock poster store on funky Melrose Ave. In Spring, 2004 Mr Musichcead relocated to a much larger space on what has come to be known as Rockin’ Row on Sunset Blvd. Showcasing original and limited edition concert posters, music related original art, and fine art music photography, the gallery displays a wide range of artists and photographers whose images have helped shape our culture. It is LA’s first gallery devoted exclusively to the art & photography of and by the world’s greatest Rock, Blues, & Jazz musicians. In addition to its seven day accessibility, Mr Musichead also hosts a harmonic convergence of musicians, artists, and aficionados at its expansive list of events and exhibitions.
