About this project
For the past few months we have been planning our first cross country tour. We will leave on September 30th for five weeks. There are 25 show dates on our calendar in Baltimore, New Orleans, Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, New York, and more. Additionally, we have radio gigs in several cities and will be promoting the release of our new 7" single on Mammoth Cave Recording Co. to be released in September. We are driven and ready to take Lantern to it's next stage.
As mentioned above, we have been working with bookers, venues, and other musicians across North America to plan the tour. We will promote through our personal and band networks, (Twitter, Tumblr, Blogger, Facebook, Google+), as well as through music blogs and other press. We will travel by car and stay with friends and family along the way. To further supplement costs, we will sell t-shirts and recordings at shows and other events.
The money we raise on Kickstarter will go toward the following: gas, a AAA membership, vehicle and music equipment maintenance, and any necessary lodging expenses. We recently purchased a stationwagon that needs a few minor repairs before leaving. Any contributions help and are sincerely and most fully appreciated!

Lantern is a three-piece rock 'n' roll band based in Philadelphia, PA. We are Zachary Fairbrother on guitar and vocals, Emily Robb on bass, and Sophie White on drums. We play a storm of Bo Diddley beats Frankensteined with New York punk. Lantern is dedicated to preserving the spirit and essence of Rock 'n' roll. We have released music on labels in the US and Canada and have been featured in several national publications.
