Valley of the Sun is heading to Nada Studio in May to record an EP. Releasing the final product on 12" colored vinyl is the goal.
We are Valley of the Sun, an American Hard Rock/Stoner Rock/Rock and Roll band dead set on rattling the fillings out of the teeth of every audience we take the stage in front of.
We have been working very hard writing and tweaking material over the past many months and the culmination of our efforts will be recorded at Nada Studio in New Windsor, NY this May. We'll be working with producer John Naclerio, known for working with such acts as My Chemical Romance, Polar Bear Club, and Senses Fail among many others. The final product is going to be a beautifully produced, but still bone shaking, 5-6 song album. This will be sold as a digital download. We are trying to raise the money to give this EP the release it deserves on vinyl. Vinyl is back from the dead, and for many great reasons; the sound of a vinyl record can't be matched, the feeling of holding the jacket and examining every detail of the artwork, not to mention the interactivity of vinyl--the listener is made to actively listen, to flip from side a to side b. Vinyl records actively engage the listener on a level that an mp3 cannot. We'd like to offer fans and listeners the ability to become actively engaged in listening to the songs we've been working on so diligently.
With your help, we'll be able to step foot into your home through the magic of vinyl and give you an audiophile listening experience akin to being at a show; minus the fog machine and sweaty dudes of course.
