ABOUT THIS FILM
"Stay-at-Home" is a short comedy about a professional assassin who is faced with some serious life decisions when her stay-at-home husband and two young daughters unexpectedly show up at a job, wanting to spend more quality time with her.
With danger literally knocking down the door, her dedication to being a career-focused woman is called into question - forcing her to strike a balance between, "continuing to break the hearts of the children who miss her" and "continuing to blow the heads off of strangers for money" (something she is passionate about, and is particularly good at doing).
WHY THIS FILM?
Like so many others, we are attached to our jobs at the hip these days. There is an expectation that, because we can always be reached, we are always available to answer an email, reply to a text or hop on a quick conference call.
For career-oriented people, this new reality is a welcomed advancement - but for stay-at-home spouses, and often the children they raise, the ability for one parent to never unplug from their work has turned family-time into a precious, non-renewable resource.
Our film is a comedy about what happens when one woman's family-life collides with her professional life - and the tangled questions & answers involved in figuring out what's best for her family.
WHY OUR TEAM?
Our production team is comprised of several award-winning filmmakers and graphic artists. We've been working on this project for a few years now, and during that time, members of our team have produced, written or edited films that have won an Oscar, a Cannes distinction, a NAPTE award, and been official selections in dozens of international film festivals. We love this script, are excited by the project and many of us have great hair.
