Kickstarter backers! It has been a while since I’ve had any news to share, but I wanted to share a few things with you. I will just list them, in no particular order:
1) I attended WizardWorld: Chicago in August and had a fantastic experience. I hadn’t otherwise been to a Wizard-run con in a long time, but this trip was really special. The book performed very well and I met a ton of great people, including a few backers! It was my most lucrative convention experience to date, which helped make it super fun.
2) I have received a couple more reviews of the book since then, including one fantastic one from Geeks of Doom and one from God of Comics, both of whom really loved it (those are always the most pleasing to read). Check ’em out if you like.
3) I have one more convention on my 2013 agenda! I will be setting up a table at MCBA FallCon on October 5, in Minneapolis, MN. It’s a lot like SpringCon, except it’s shorter, smaller, and more focused on comics. After my wonderful con experiences at SpringCon and WizardWorld, I’m really excited to do another one. If you will be there, come on by and say hello! I like to chat with people at cons; it makes the tedium go by faster.
4) I have been working with my wife on a Pride & Prejudice based card game called Marrying Mr. Darcy. I’m handling graphic design & illustrations, and I've been a pretty prominent playtester, sounding board, editor, and all of those other things spouses become. It has been over a year in development and is pretty much ready to print! There shouldn't be any real hangups with production, just fundraising. The game just launched on kickstarter, so please check it out, and if it looks like something you’d like, we'd appreciate any support. I’ve played it (I’ve actually played like 4 versions of it as it got refined, many, many times), and it’s quite fun. Go see for yourself!
That's all for now. Hope all's well!
