About this project
The Short Story: Friends- We're the Zapruder Sequence. We write and play songs. We've got an EP and a full album under our belts. Our second album is well underway, but we're a little short on cash for the final push. We need to record the last 5'ish %, and then mix and master. It's close. It'd be awesome if you'd join with us and others to get this thing all done.
The Long Story: This year we embarked on another LP. Back in January '11, we holed up at the Echo Lab near Denton, TX, a studio we hold in reverence for the amazing albums that have come out of there over the years. Along with producer Matt, we battled through odd N. Texas snowstorms throughout January and February, getting closer and closer to finishing recording, but then had to put things on hold for various mundane reasons.
You remember the old 8-bit Nintendos- you were burning through a game, but then had to pause it while you did some chores, went to school, ate dinner, or whatever else. Or maybe you were stuck on a level, unsure what to do next, and needed a little break to think up the next step. Meanwhile, the Nintendo got warm, real warm, staying all paused like that. And you were itching to get back to the game. To finish what you started.
So now we've returned, to put the finishing touches on things, to mix and master, and crank out the real artifact. Some album details: the album will be 11 songs, all written and played by the band and a few of our friends. It's loud and raucous, quiet in spots, with probably a little more depth than we're used to. The album's nameless at present, but soon everything will coalesce. Help us out. Cheers.
