About this project

We are a pop music and performance duo called Suspicious Package, creating a music video for our latest Bio-Pop song, "Bird of Prey".

Bio-Pop, a term we created, is a movement to bring biodiversity into pop music and entertainment. We believe that NATURE BLING is just as alluring as anything on MTV. By focusing songs and videos on amazing living creatures, we hope to inspire people to reconnect with nature in a personal way.

"Bird of Prey," a musical collaboration with producer Jordan B, is a tribute to falcons, hawks, eagles, owls, vultures, osprey, and all the masters of speed and grace we refer to as birds of prey.

Our wish is to make a music video for "Bird of Prey" that pays homage to the majesty and power of these birds by expressing the experience of being in their physical presence. We are working with Mike Dupuy, a raptor specialist who travels nationwide as a lecturer and educator about these incredible animals, to film a video that features live birds interacting with young NYC dancers.

Emily and Ashlynn, the front women of Suspicious Package, have experienced the power of dance to capture the most essential quality of a moment. For the video we intend to work closely with a group of NYC public school dancers through a non-profit program that Emily herself participated in as a child. Under Mike's close supervision, we will allow the kids to express their experience of meeting the birds - through spontaneous reaction and choreographed dance.

As a self-produced, self-funded project, we are asking for help to finance the music video production costs. Your contributions will pay for getting studio space, for transportation and stipends for the participating children, for time spent with Mike and his birds, and for our music and video mastering & technician costs. In the spirit of our DIY operation, we will direct & choreograph the video ourselves. But we do need to pay our talented friends who will contribute to the cinematography, filming, lighting and editing!

We know that, with YOUR HELP, we can make "Bird of Prey" into a video that will rival the success of our first Bio-Pop video "Hummingbird" which rated #1 on MTVmusic.com and featured on National Geographic and elsewhere. "Hummingbird" motivated us to design the Bio-Pop series of songs and videos and we hope that "Bird of Prey" will continue to inspire people to notice the beauty of life all around us.
