Final Update-Closing Project
Dear Backers,
I want to thank you for your support over the past 30 days. It’s been quite the learning experience!
It has been quite a whirlwind since we launched our project. We’ve gotten some great press from some very respectable names online (such as gizmag.com and the Overland Journal)! I was also selected as a finalist for a local business competition called Bad Girl Ventures, which is turning out to be an amazing experience and has connected me with some great people locally. I even traveled to the Capitol to join 50 other Outdoor Industry executives from some amazing companies such as REI, EMS, CamelBak, NEMO, Woolrich, and others, to meet with Senators and Congressmen on the Hill to advocate for the outdoor industry. Needless to say, it’s been a busy time for us!
In light of all of this I’ve decided to pull the NYX project from Kickstarter prematurely. I’m doing this for a few reasons. We’ve had a lot developments over the past 4 weeks-developments that are only going to make the NYX product better. We’ve further refined the design and have not only reduced the weight but have also made it easier to assemble and disassemble, and increased the overall stability. We are continuing to test this design and are excited to share it with you after we’ve put it through the paces.
These design improvements and other developments on the business end have significantly changed our financial “need.” We are going to take some time to build our social network online and reorganize our marketing efforts and then come back to Kickstarter and try again. We hope to do this quickly (over the next few weeks) and keep the same time frames for the rewards. I hope that when we are ready to relaunch you will come back and support us! Meanwhile we’ll be working on getting some hands-on product reviews from some respectable voices in the outdoor world.
