About this project

Hi there! We're DESCENDER, a metal influenced post-hardcore band from Brooklyn, NY. We have some great new songs to share with everyone, and we're super excited to be recording a shiny new EP at Translator Audio in mid-June.

We have the good fortune to be recording with an amazing engineer/ producer named Andrew Schneider, who has worked with the likes of Pelican, Unsane, Cave In, Converge, Shrinebuilder, Rosetta, Goes Cube and Julie Christmas to name just a few. We feel like he's a perfect fit to help us document our newest batch of songs, and we can't wait to get into the studio!

As you can imagine though, working with someone of Andrew's expertise represents a significant expense, and since we are without the support of a label, that's where you come in. Through Kickstarter, we're hoping that you will help us with some of the costs to record with Andrew at Translator, and in exchange for your support we're offering a number of really cool packages. Think of it as pre-ordering the EP, with a lot of great extras!

We've set a fairly conservative goal here, one that will definitely make the recording process easier for us, and anything above and beyond that goal will help make the EP even better! We have to meet the minimum goal to get the funding (it's an all or nothing deal), so please consider donating to the cause.
