TrackInitiative.com is a web app built for tracking initiative and effects in any Tabletop RPG, such as Dungeons & Dragons.
TrackInitiative.com is the easy to use, flexible initiative tracker for your Table-top RPG's. Games like Dungeons and Dragons, or any game where your players take turns, are made much easier with Track Initiative. Not only can you manage the order with which your combatants take their turns, but our initiative tracker reminds your players of status effects, including when they begin and end, and more!
Please consider funding this project via the pledge selections on the right. We try to keep things simple and brief, and that includes our pledge options!

Primary Features
A Track Initiative subscription provides you with a number of great features. In addition to 24/7 access from most internet connected devices, other primary features of Track Initiative include...
Create "Trackers" to Track the initiative order of all Players and other Combatants!
Players don't need to register. Simply set up a combat, then share the custom generated URL with them, or anyone else!
Drag and Drop to change initiative order, before and during combat.
Track Initiative is a web application compatible with both Windows and Mac, as well as iOS, and Android mobile devices - perfect for games played online or at the table where Players have various devices!
Trackers always remember the last state they were in. Was your game interrupted? No problem! Simply revisit the custom URL at any time and pick up where you left off!
- Browse other Trackers (flagged by DM/GM's as "Public") on the Track Initiative website to see what others are Tracking, or find your game if the GM/DM forgets to send out a link!
Easy to use interface!

Customize
Create and save Effects like "Bleeding" or "Hampered" (or anything!) including selecting icons for them!
Create Players and other Combatants and save them for use later!
Create stat elements like "Armor" or "HP", attaching them to Players and Mobs, and assigning values to them. Mob stat blocks are visible only to the person running the Tracker!
Because you can create your own Effects and Stat Elements, Track Initiative can be used with any Tabletop game that incorporates turns/rounds!
Social Element
Track Initiative is a great tool for DM/GM's even if they are the only one using it, but the ability to link in people from anywhere via a custom URL presents some great possibilities...
Do you live-stream your games for others to watch? With Track Initiative, you could also share the URL of your Tracker allowing your live-stream viewers to follow along in real time!
Do you play online via Skype? No matter where your players are, they can all access the combat Tracker via its unique URL!
- Writing a blog post about a game played a few days ago? Add the custom URL into the post allowing people to see what the players were up against!
Even after combat has long been over, the Tracker at the end of your custom URL remains (unless intentionally deleted by the GM) allowing anyone (with the URL) to go back and look at it at any time, from anywhere!
Bonus Goals!
For every $500 funded over our goal (up to $4,500) we will be lowering the yearly subscription cost by $1! If you help fund Track Initiative up to $4,500, the yearly subscription will only be $5!
Here is a graph tracking our progress towards to goals beyond our original goal, as well as what that means for the yearly subscription cost...

Track Initiative Walk-through
Here's an example situation of Track Initiative in use...
As a GM, Jared logs into his account and creates a new "Tracker". He then creates his Player's characters (entering "Merrik" for Bob and "Swan" for Sarah). When adding a character, he also adds which stats should display in t he Tracker (up to 4) for each player. The first stat he needs to see is Armor Class, so he types in "AC" as the title and "17" as the value. Jared does this for a few more defensive stats and then proceeds to add the same stats to Sarah's character (with different values). He saves these characters as they will be playing many more games over time.
Jared now creates other combatants (generally monsters), assigning stats as well (though these will not show up in the Tracker for anyone but him). In this case he includes "HP", "AC" and even "DMG" to indicate how much damage this monster does, typing in "1d6" for the value. This monsters is saved for later use and he inserts 5 of them into the Tracker.
Finally, he creates some new effects as he will need more than the default choices. He adds things like "Poisoned" and "Bloodied", selecting icons for them as well. At this point, Jared recalls that Bob always forgets to roll Saving Throws at the end of his turn. He types in "Remember to Save" as an effect and assigns it an "Exclamation" icon. He then selects all of these effects as options that should be visible to him in the Tracker, allowing him to quickly drag and drop them onto any Player or monster during combat (though he can step away and add/remove options at any time).
Jared is now ready!
Later that night, during the game, the combat is initiated that he prepared for. He arranges all combatants in order based on the rolled initiatives and applies the "Remember to Save" effect onto Bob's character. In a small pop-up he indicates it should trigger at the "End of Turn" and that it "Never" ends.
With everything in order, he now shares the custom URL for this specific Tracker with his players as well as those following him on Twitter in case they want to check it out and follow along.
Bob goes to the URL and sees the Tracker. He sees his character and selects him, then indicates that he would like to see effects/reminders on that character's turn.
Mike (who dropped in via the link from Twitter) does the same, deciding he wants to see what Bob's character has going on during his turns.
This was quick to set up, but the next combat will be even faster with Bob and Sarah's characters in the system already, as well as the new effects!
That's It!

A 1 year subscription will cost $10. However, we will be lowering that price depending on how much the project is funded for beyond the initial goal of $2,000. Essentially, for every $500 beyond the first $2,000 funded, the yearly cost will be lowered by $1, until we hit $4,500 at which point a 1 year subscription would cost $5! By helping us fund this project, you allow us to reduce the subscription cost for everyone!
-
Yes! We will be providing a number of ways to save money on subscriptions. To give you a few examples, you may see discounts like 25%, 50% or even 75% Off for a limited time, in other cases subscriptions may be given away as prizes from various sites/blogs. The hope is to always have something going on where that can help lower the cost for those looking to save some money!

Yep. For a select number of people this might be a problem at times, but the advantages to having it be a connected web app include a number of features that made this such an exciting project to not only work on, but to provide to others as well. In other words, there are features we felt would be awesome in an Initiative Tracker that can't be done offline.
-
The next interaction you attempt to have with the application will result in a standard error indicating you are offline. You will still be able to see your Tracker in the state is was in. However, as soon as you are back online, you can continue where you left off. In the event you are disconnected and close your browser, you can simply navigate back to you Tracker and you will find it in that last state it was in.

No. The only way to get an account subscription that will never need to be renewed would be to get it here via the Kickstarter.
