Austin, TX — Pop artist and band manager and booking agent Bonnie Rue has launched Model Citizen Clothing,
a line of T-shirts, dresses, hoodies, yoga wear, jewelry, accessories & more emblazoned with edgy, punk-y, empowering, delightfully brash designs not always associated with a “model citizen”.
Rue, who volunteers often at Austin’s homeless shelter & donates regularly to women’s rights groups & charities (very model-citizen behavior), draws designs inspired by the antics of her friends, the music she grew up surrounded with & that surrounds her now & puts them on a variety of curve-enhancing clothing items as well as jewelry, tote bags & other accessories for good girls, geeks,
craft-erellas & laid-back fashionistas.
hey miss Bonnie Rue!
so nice to hear what you're up to. last time i saw you we did cartwheels in your front yard. we were both a bit younger. anyway, your dear ol dad was very much a mentor to me early in my career. i remember asking him 'how do i ever pay you back for helping me, because you will always be ahead of me'. he responded 'when you are able, you extend your hand and bring others who are worthy, up.' as usual, profound. tell your momma and dad hi for me and i look forward to meeting the adult Bonnie someday! Good luck in Vegas, Baby!!!
