Update #14: The books are here!
Here is the result of your pledges and hard work! 32 boxes of books, 31 of them weighing 30 pounds each, ready to be sent out to you guys! Many, many thanks to my husband who hauled them up the stairs so I can move them to the office. Now we start packing!
Update #13: The books are almost here!
In less than 24 hours, the Namesake books will be in my apartment! My husband and I just picked up the envelopes from Uline on our way back from Canada, and everything is ready to go.
I will be packing and shipping the orders as fast as I can, but it will take a couple of weeks to get through everything. The $175 higher levels in the U.S. will have delivery confirmation, so you will be notified via email with tracking numbers as packages are sent. International orders will not have delivery confirmation. I will message people as their packages are sent out. International orders will be slower than domestic because we have to fill out all that lovely customs paperwork the post office loves.
I will be emailing everyone tonight who is receiving a physical book to make sure your address is up to date. If you have changed your address between February and now, please let me know. There are also a few people who did not fill out the survey with their address, so please let me know so I can get your books out to you.
Update #12: Arrival date received!
I just got off the phone with the printer's representative, and the expected arrival time for the bulk of the Namesake orders is between May 22-29 unless there is a major hold up in customs. Huzzah!

Huzzah !
Ah, comme j'ai hâte. Je me suis interdit de lire la version pdf et ça devient difficile de résister, mais je vais persévérer. Je veux tenir votre livre entre mes mains pour le lire la première fois. =)

Update #11: Update on lots of things
Hi, everyone! It's been awhile since we touched base, so we wanted to give you an update on where things stood:
- The bulk of the Namesake order (all except the 60 books that were shipped ahead for TCAF) is literally on a slow boat from China. I'm hoping to receive word this week on when the shipment will arrive, then I can start packing orders. I will be in Canada for a friend's wedding from May 15-21, so I can't send anything then.
- All of the book plates are signed. Isa and I spent the last night of TCAF getting those ready. Huzzah!
- I have all of the pages for the top tier donation level in hand for when the books arrive.
- Isa has completed the art for the $35 and up level and sent it to me. I will be converting the files to JPG and uploading a ZIP to the Namesake site later today, then messaging the recipients.
- I have all of the pendants for the Kickstarter in hand, and they look amazing. Optimystical Studios did such a lovely job, and fans gushed over their work at TCAF. We're actually going to be selling some other custom pendants that Isa designed in the Namesake store, and those should be going up today.
- Everyone should have gotten the PDF of book 1. If you are still experiencing download issues, please message me so I can work with you on getting you a copy.
- All of the commissions are complete and delivered. Huzzah!
So, we're just waiting for the books! When they arrive, I will be sending everyone a message asking you to double check the address provided so they'll get to their new homes. Isa and I had a fantastic time at TCAF and enjoyed meeting all of the backers that stopped by our table. We couldn't have done this without you! Here's a glimpse of what the table looked like for TCAF.

That's on my to-do list for tomorrow. I ran out of time between the two drives to Canada. Have yet to invent that TARDIS ...

It was! I went from here to Toronto (7 hours) for TCAF, then to New Brunswick (14 hours) for a good friend's wedding. It was completely worth it though, as their families are some of the nicest people I've ever met, and the area is just gorgeous. Everything just seemed to happen all together this year, but now that I'm back, things will calm down. I'm actually working on revamping the Namesake store this weekend as well to coincide with the book coming out.

Woah! That's some serious stock of books!
Just out of curiosity, how many of those books are going to be sent to people who pre-ordered, and how many will you keep for selling later?
There's 357 Kickstarter books. The rest will be sold as a chance comes. It's now listed in the new online store.
