"Ice Queen" is a story about a faded ice skater who works a dead-beat job at a soon to be closed Ice Skating rink.
Ice Queen is a story about a damaged ice skater who works a basic job at a soon to be closed Ice Skating rink. With a past that haunts her, Natalie's future is now unclear as she earnestly works her final day at the closing rink.
This short film is a University of Central Florida affiliated project. The reason I am making this film is because I have very fond memories of the local ice skating rink I used to go to as a child. The business fell into a rough patch and eventually closed, leaving me with only the memories of that special place. I would like to make a film that touches on that nostalgic idea and creates a story around a broken ice skater who works at this building, that is also closing down. Since this is a student funded film we need YOUR help! The film will be shot in one location and the budget is being kept very low (basically we are only paying for props and food for our cast and crew). We would love your support, without which this film will not be possible. Any help makes a difference, so donate and help me make this film about an ice rink and the woman who works there.

That's it! We are only raising the funds we need to get the film done.
The main challenge that we face is being able to tell this story in the constraints of an actual ice rink. There will be regular patrons attending this rink and we will be shooting the film with a documentary style. So, we will have to be mindful of the surrounding area and the customers of the establishment when shooting and be respectful of their wishes.
