I'm in the middle of finals here and didn't want to rush (even though I had a good while to get those all in order, c'est la vie). We've got a lot of goodies to be sending out. New buttons. 7 colour hand-screened and signed and numbered posters. Hand-lithographed t-shirts and patches. Zines, mix cd's, you name it.
So, since it's FINALLY getting to be that time, we need YOU to message us with the specifics if you got ne of the packages with all these extra things. We need to know your shirt size, who you want a mix cd made by, who you want to make your cookies (me or Banjo Steve), and all that jazz.
It's been a long, long time! How are you? We're really so thankful for all of your love and support with funding this album.
As you know, the lovely and talented Laura Jane Grace recorded this album for us and is almost finished mixing it. It's taking us longer than we had initially planned, but we really feel like taking our time is one of the things that has helped in making this new record into something that we're so proud and excited to share with you. In the next week or so we'll have the final mixes and will send it all out to be mastered and will keep the ball rolling. If you backed us and chose the goodie bag option, know that we're working on getting all of the album art together and will be sending out the new buttons and patches and things soon.
Our dear friend Sean Bonnette from Andrew Jackson Jihad just sent us a track with some guest vocals that he's putting on one of the new songs and we couldn't be more excited. Really, it's gonna be awesome.
Also, if you haven't seen it, our buddies at Street Folk Sessions made this video of us performing an acoustic version of one of our new songs "five senses" while we were down in Gainesville for Fest. We dressed up like the cast of Moonrise Kingdom and had such an amazing time playing, what an incredible show.
