I play instruments, I write songs, I sing the songs I write, and I pray to God you'll love the songs you hear.
So here is what's happening.
For those of you that know me, it's no secret to you that the one thing that I have always loved, is writing songs. You also know... that I LOVE people. (I love some of you so much, it's awkward, and I'm sorry.) One of the reasons I have chosen to use Kickstarter, is because I can't imagine embarking on this journey without the friends and family that mean so much to me. (And I NEED YOUR MONEY. Yes. You.) But seriously, without you being a part of what I'm doing, it wouldn't mean near as much. If you don't know me, I'm really excited you're taking the time to check this out.
This year, I have put countless time and heart into researching what it would take to really create a product that would be valuable. From researching studios, to speaking with engineers, to calling friends in the industry, to Googling anything and everything that you can possibly imagine might come with the creation of an album. This has also meant hours of staring blankly at objects or people (awkward moments), with my brain being completely fried. Fortunately my husband has a lot of grace, and is 100% as into this as I am. So, after all of this and much more, I have realized that I need at least $20,000 to make the dream a reality.
The album will be a complete work with 10-12 songs. The money will be going towards things like studio time, studio musicians, the production of the album, the promotion, (deep breath), the artwork, the packaging, the duplication, and so many more details. I will be keeping you up to speed throughout the process with posts, comments, twitters and so on.
So PLEASE, help my songs. They are floating ambiguously around in song purgatory, waiting to be placed on my album. I am thrilled (understatement) to finally be in a place to pursue this dream. I've always been a dreamer, and believe me, my dream doesn't stop here :).

The project is eligible to receive over $20,000, just not under. If I reach above 20K, we will be able to do more than we imagined, and the money will go back into music, and possibly a potential second project.
