Hey Y'all,
Thanks for giving this chance.
My name is Indiana Hoover, and I'm writing to you on behalf of The Salvation Band, from New York City. If you don't know anything about us, you should give us a listen. We're a band of brothers and friends, humbled and lucky to be spending the better parts of our days playing music together.
Amongst many things, for the past 6 months, we've worked tirelessly to book ourselves our first summer tour. And now, after hundreds of emails, mailings, presskits, and phonecalls, we've done it. We're all set to hit the road this June & July, booked from NYC to Austin, TX, (and back) playing shows, shops, and radio stations, along the way.
This is where you come in.
Though we've raised some money for tour, gas prices being what they are, it's hardly enough... and we could use some help.
We hope to raise at least $2,000 on Kickstarter.
Though I feel like this is a lot of money to ask for these days, for a three-thousand mile journey, over 25 days, it's a no frills budget. Funds raised will go almost exclusively to gas and food costs... or, the occasional bottle of whiskey, at the end of night ;)
There won't be any 5 star hotels on this tour. No expensive dinners, or fancy excursions. We'll be staying with friends, and strangers we meet along the way. Or sleeping in the trusty van. We'll be on the road, and living cheap.
When I say this, it couldn't be more true: the money raised here will be what makes this tour possible. We'd be honored if you can help us make this happen.
