Quintopus recently recorded a CD of original music that exceeded our expectations. Mixing of the disc was just finished and our plan was to make a small run of 100 CDs. But, the band decided that we need to take the next step and get our recording professionally mastered in order to compete with other great groups out there. Our hope is that with the help of family, friends, and fans we can master the disc, get a larger run of CDs,and pay a local photographer to do some promo shots. We would also like to video record our educational masterclass as promo for "teaching tours" that we plan to do locally in the Eastern US and Canada (in conjunction with performance dates). The group is a rare combination of phenomenal performers who are also able to teach in an engaging and comprehensive manner.

There is a strong need to share our love of jazz and music with schools and communities, and we would appreciate your help in achieving this important goal. In turn, we are committed to supporting other causes by donating our time as performers. In the past, we have organized fundraiser shows for Doctors Without Borders, the Nashville Musician's Disaster Relief Fund, ArtPeace, and the National Association of Free Clinics, and we plan on continuing to support these and other worthy causes.

The group on the CD is Doug Stone (tenor sax), Dave Hart (trumpet), Mike Frederick (guitar/compositions), Chris Ziemba (piano/keys), Geoff Saunders (bass), and Chris Teal (drums/compositions).
