Hello Potential Backers!

This summer we of Under the Table - a Brooklyn-based, comedic, physical theatre ensemble - embark on our LARGEST TOUR to date: a two month, three city, multi-dimensional Canadian odyssey.

The Canadian Fringe Festival circuit is the stuff of theatre touring legends, and this July and August we experience it for ourselves, playing festivals in: Winnipeg (yes!), Saskatoon (double yes!), and Edmonton (a thousand yeses!).

We of Under the Table are bringing two original shows to the people of Central Canada, which are entitled and described as follows:

THE ONLY FRIENDS WE HAVE is a dark and physical comedy about three eccentric friends determined to be happy, in spite of each other. Includes some real stupidity.

SOLO: A TWO-PERSON SHOW is an epic comedy of tragic proportions about two brothers saying good-bye. (It's funny).

With one month to go, preparation is in full swing. Our self-producing ensemble is printing posters, sending out press packets, scheduling workshops, calling the Canadian IRS (they were so pleasant!), and more.

Please help us make it to and through Canada! Help bring laughter to the masses! Support bad-ass art!

Funds raised will help cover all manner of touring expenses: travel, marketing, PR, set, prop, and festival participation expenses, not to mention the buying of: maple syrup in bulk, a small, rag-tag hockey team with promise, horses/uniforms for Mountie impersonations, and perhaps plane tickets to Cuba...?
