Carolyn McCarthy is an actor, singer, playwright and director living in Bellingham, Washington.
Her solo show, "Too Beautiful," played to sell-out crowds and was held over repeatedly in 2007. With Mike Mathieu (The Cody Rivers Show), she created "Music Box #1: Snow Globe" and "Music Box #2: Side By Side" for iDiOM Theater. Favorite Bellingham roles include Sam in "Squalor," Philia in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" and Greta in "After Easter." Carolyn sings with the folk trio Random Orbit Sanders and has been known to belt out jazz tunes at Skylark's.
Carolyn graduated magna cum laude from Carleton College. In Seattle, she studied acting and playwriting at Freehold Theater and voice with Jay Clayton. She worked for two years as iDiOM Theater's Development Director and served on the Board of Directors at the Bellingham Theatre Guild. Carolyn is excited to put her multifaceted knowledge of theater to work for Little Bird.
