Kickstarter

My project call is for funding for an artists showcase via RAW Artists in Austin, Texas. RAW is an independent arts organization, for artists, by artists & made up of creative individuals across the nation. RAW currently operates in 32 cities across the United States. RAW Directors hand-pick and spotlight local artistic talent in film, fashion, music, visual art, hair & makeup artistry, and performance art. 

I have been selected to participate as a photographer and though I work full time I also support a family of 5 and after those expenses I am just not quite able to cover the balance of the project completion costs. I've put a lot of work and sweat into this show to get everything finished and done most of it on a second hand budget, using Goodwill and making what I could for frames and displays. The show is a little over a week away now and there is still much to do. As a last ditch effort to get the prints, mats and other items I need for an clean, professional presentation, I am coming to Kickstarter. I know its a long shot that may or may not result in that 'dream job' of photography as a bill paying, personally rewarding profession but I have always hoped for the chance to transform my creative impulse into something socially constructive and this could be it.
