Unbelievable Momentum, Preview Cards, Extended Promotion and Live Q&A
Wow. The momentum in these final days has been incredible! Tuesday was our biggest pledge day since we launched the campaign, and we owe it all to you guys! We have only a few short days left and about 30K to go! With that in mind, we have some exciting announcements to share with you to keep things going in these final days!
The Gary Games team will be hosting a live streaming Q&A on Friday from 1pm-3pm PDT - ask us anything you want and we'll do our best to get everything answered. We may even convince Brian Kibler to do another rendition of Ice Ice Baby!

Many backers have suggested that everyone involved in the campaign should be able to benefit from the bonus promotions we did for Gencon and PAX, and we agree! We are extending the free starter deck and free booster promotions to the final five days of the campaign, so its not too late to tell your friends to join in and get the best deal on all the free stuff! That means that everyone who contributes $25 or more will get an extra bonus starter deck and everyone who backs SolForge for at least $100 with get ten free booster packs in addition to all of the other rewards!
We got such a great response to the faction reveal and the preview cards from yesterday's update that we decided we'll keep showing off more cards and art until the end of the campaign. So here you go!

@Martin and James, you guys both make good points. I'm glad to see the makers of the game are listening in that they've created a new reward tier for a few more dollars and included it as a bonus for everyone! I bumped my pledge up to the $60 reward tier shortly after seeing that!

@Diego & James Nichols, I disagree - that "extending time period over and over that everybody gets his second starter" made me raise an eyebrow already. It rather felt like poor begging for money and therefor questioning the own success by the producers.
Yea, this is a very critical view on it. ...but in the end it will be a free game, that doesn't mean it got to feel cheap ;)
I'm positive that we'll meet the goal.

@Diego...I am all for that if it includes previous bump ups. I bumped from $25 to $60 once that tier came out. I would love to see the "bump up" option (although I would like to see it be retroactive as well). I also sent a mass email out to all my friends who might be interested in playing as well. Let's go people! I want to see some stretch goals realized!

Is there a chance you can work in a new pledge option such as: Pledge an additional $10 to your original pledge and receive 2 additional starter decks when the game goes live!? If half of the current people who have backed this project would make the additional pledge, this project would reach the $250,000 goal and anyone who had already pledged $25 could get one copy of all four starter decks at launch.

Looking at these cards, one thing I have to say is that I'm really happy about how the different levels of the cards actually look different. Just how different varies, but for the most part you can tell what level a card is simply by looking at it thanks to the art differences. One strong exception to this seems to be the spell cards. I'd really love to see at least -some- difference between them, though I know they're lower priority since they don't stay on the field for more than a second or two.

This is a must back. Im a huge fan of magic but being an emergency room resident and working about 60 hours a week i dont have the flexibility in my schedule to get to my local game store. Im not a huge mtgo fan but i love the idea of a mobile card game designed for my ipad. This would allow me to play enough to justify spending the money to play. Right now i dont buy a lot of mtg cards since i just dont have the time to play. As for gary games they have already the ability to design not only an awesome game but an awesome ipad/iphone game in the Ascension series. Keep up the great work guys. Cant wait to actually get my hands on this game. If you havent already backed this do it now. Be a part of a game that could change a genre (plus the bonuses are more than worth it).
