More news from Shadowrun Online campaign headquarters! We have 15 days to go, and we'll hopefully get near the $200.000 mark today! So in this update we’ve got a brand new gameplay video for you, explaining some of the actions your character will be able to perform during combat, and introducing a new tier in the Backer Rewards at the $350 level, with AWESOME NEW swag!

In the following video Jan explains more about how we translate the current core Shadowrun rules into gameplay. Of course this is all taken from our prototype, hence nothing’s final yet, but we hope it'll give you a good idea of what you can expect!

Executive level has its privileges, and now one of them is a Collectible Executive-level Shadowrun Online USB card with laser-engraved Shadowrun logo! The cool aluminum case is included, and the card measures 3.15” x 1.97” and 0.1” thick (8cm x 5cm x 2.6mm).
Linux version
Many people asked us about a potential Linux version of Shadowrun Online. We already had a short FAQ entry on the main page about it, but here it is for everybody to read: Yes, we have a Linux version planned. We use Unity3D for our client, and they announced that they’ll support Linux in their upcoming version 4.0. Here’s what Unity says about compatibility: “Unity Games will run out of the box on most modern Linux systems, but we are only providing *official* support for 64-bit or 32-bit Ubuntu Linux with vendor-made graphics drivers.“ So once Unity3D 4.0 is available to us, we will go and try to port it. We cannot guarantee that we’ll be able to have the Linux version ready on day 1 (since Unity hasn’t announced the release date yet), but there will be a Linux version as soon as we can make the transition.
Weapon Rendering
And just like in the last update, here’s a rendering of another one of the weapons we currently use in the Shadowrun Online. Does anybody recognize it? The last time around you guys were pretty quick with the identification – though, we made it easy, since the name was engraved on the weapon. ☺ So, what is this weapon called? I like the a USB addition but I also like me my three shirts, (was already getting the hoodie), the boxed copy of the game, campaign book, and mini's etc. For those of us that like the physical items, the gap is still $255 up to $505. Is the collectible USB card only for that tier level? Will the 350 and above tier level get it also?

So you said it automatically switches between characters? That's a huge step up from JAO. I kept skipping my second character by mistake. Does this mean you actually plan to implement initiative?
Now that there's another gameplay video... maybe I'll be able to convince a few more people...

@joshua Actually, this gameplay is just JAO shadowrunized to show us a little bit. But if they need 500000 dollars, it's precisely to make it in a unique game of its own. :)
I would say, it's an Ares Alpha rifle assault, but I'm getting old with the gear ^_^

That case is sweet; I was already close to that - you might have gotten me to bump up a level.
Gameplay still looks as much like JA:O as makes no odds, which I'm still a little iffy on... But there's still time for that to develop. Looking forward to more!
