Hey Chummers,

A big THANK YOU to everyone who has contributed to Shadowrun Online so far! We're still in awe of how much enthusiasm and love is out there for Shadowrun, and our game! We’ve been answering email and comments as fast as we can. Sangius (you might know him from the forum) even worked almost a 24 hour shift – a big thank you for that! Our project was mentioned on IGN, Gamespot, Joystiq, Escapist, and many many other sites, and that’s something we’re really proud of. But we absolutely still need your help, and lots of it! And we're going to give you even better ways to help, and more reasons to want to! But first...

Client version

When the press release of our Kickstarter campaign hit the various online gaming news sites, there was a lot of discussion about Shadowrun Online being a "Browser game". Now, we only meant to describe one way players can access the game, but many people out there thought "Oh my god, it's a Casual Facebook game," and told us so. But we can assure you: Shadowrun Online is a full fledged 3D game for real gamers! Have a look at our in-game screenshots that are now moved to the frontpage - thanks to Bruce, Honeybadger and others for pointing that out - or check out our current game "Jagged Alliance Online" which is currently in Beta, but it can show you what a "Browser" game can really do and www.cliffhanger-productions.com will get you there! 


At the same time some of our backers were asking if the game would also be available as a client game on platforms like Steam, and so we discussed that with our engineers, and can now proudly say that we will also release a client version of it! With this it will be totally up to you to decide if you want to play it in your browser, which can be played in fullscreen mode like any other PC or Mac video game, or download the client on to your harddrive and play it from there. We think this will give you a little bit of an idea about what we can accomplish with Shadowrun Online!

Avatars

In the last 48 hours Shadowrun Online found the love of over 1200 people supporting our project. We can’t thank you enough for that. But in order to get more people on board we need YOUR HELP to get the word out. In order to make SRO more visible we’ve put over 40 different avatars on the Shadowrun webpage for you to download, and use as your Facebook or Forum avatar. Just go to http://www.shadowrun.com/game/sro-avatars and download your favorite avatar picture. If you want to go even one step further, we also created some Facebook title images for you guys. With your help we’ll be able to make this a reality! 

Flyers

Currently most of our “Spread the word” efforts have been limited to the Internet. But we believe that there are many Shadowrun fans out there who haven’t heard about the project yet! So if you know places where you could find people interested in the project, you could give the campaign a major bump by printing out the flyer we've created for you and letting these people know about the Shadowrun Online Kickstarter! Please share this flyer with others by asking your local game stores if they'll post it up, or post it on public bulletin boards where ever you can find them, but please do be responsible and only post them in appropriate locations! And again, THANK YOU for being AWESOME!!

      Can you possibly make a chart that shows what each level gets? At this point it is starting to get a little confusing.

      I mean, obviously the $505 level doesn't also include the $501 level... But if you read the text it does say all previous rewards. Plus, with things like the $175 level, is that included in later reward tiers or is it a standalone?

      So a nice chart/spreadsheet showing what you get per level would be really helpful.

      Hoi British and Julius!

      @British - I've gotten word form the devs that the Shadowrun Online client will be offered as a direct download form them, and they don't want to be exclusive to any single service like Steam, though they would like to provide options like steam for the fans who do prefer it. But, for those who don't, we get a direct download of the client to install locally on our computers!

      @Julius - The devs are working on on it, we'll have updated avatars for Facebook as soon as possible, but things move slowly on weekends... ^_^

      Something that might be holding back donations is the fact that you turned online into tuned based action. Online is usually best for real time action so you may want to rething your game platform idea to something more like wow where interactions arent determined as much as turn base which seems to be better suited for console gameplay.
