About this project
What Is It?:
Rockabilly Roadtrip is an underground/indie comic book that me (Jesse James Wroblewski) and my partner (Preston Asevedo) have been working on together as a hobby/passion project for the past few years.
I've been cutting my teeth shooting corporate videos for the past few years and have been drooling at the chance to get out and take Rockabilly RoadTrip to the next level and more importantly do something creative and a little crazy.
Our script is a fairly vivid, action packed (albeit a little "out there") adventure story that revolves around some pretty wild characters and an amazing hot rod.
How We're Going To Do It:
With both of us being life-long fanboys as well as professional artists, we've gotten plenty of industry (ie. geeky) projects under our belt and out of our systems. It's time to do something larger than life with extremely high production value.
Our script is fully written, locations have been scouted, and most importantly a fan of the book donated his amazing collectable hot rod to the film which is a replica of the exact car in the comic.
What The $$ Is For:
The entire kickstarter budget (as well as private funding from our credit cards) will go toward production in the following ways:
- Renting Equipment including the absolutly gorgeous RED ONE camera for the entire shoot
- Airfare & lodging for cast and crew (I live in NY, Preston lives in Louisianna, we've never even met face to face!)
- Professional sound crew
- Professional Makeup
- Props, lights and a generator
