Update #12: Let's PARTY! But First...
Hi Friends and Family!
First, we're astonished and AMAZED at the speed in which our numbers increased over the weekend. Thanks to a tremendous amount of support from Japan, we soared past the great $40,000 mark, and now stand at 80% of our goal. Wow. (Letting it sink in.)
Only 20% to go! That's a little over $10,000. With 5 days left, our goal suddenly seems ABSOLUTELY possible, doesn't it?
Let's keep up this powerful campaign, with all of you reaching out on Facebook and Twitter and blogs and email and phone...every effort counts, and we thank you.
Now...an important matter to attend to.

Megumi Sasaki is an independent documentary filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. Starting her career as a print journalist, Megumi later joined NHK, Japanese public television, as a reporter, anchor and news director. In 2008 Megumi's directorial debut, HERB & DOROTHY, won numerous festival awards, and received a worldwide theatrical release. Besides HERB & DOROTHY 50X50, Megumi is also working on a new film, THE WHALE MOVIE, an examination of the international controversy surrounding whaling.
