We have a truck with wheels. It needs an engine and all the fancy stuff. This is where you come in!
We are starting the first Cajun, Puerto Rican Food Truck in Oklahoma City, possibly the WORLD! LOL. We are seeking funding to replace the engine (I hear rocket engines are against OKC code, so we'll stick with a regular one) and cut a few windows in as well as install the plumbing and electrical.
We have secured a truck to use and have joined the Oklahoma Restaurant Association. We have the capital to cover our business licenses and permits, however there are still some improvements that we need to make to the truck to make it AWESOME! (ok, to make it to code) We will use the money we raise to improve the interior of the truck, and if there is anything left over, we will use it to buy equipment that is still needed. During this time we will post pictures on our website of our progress.
You will get to see this old FedEx truck turn into a rolling gourmet restaurant, and you will be able to tell your friends as you see it rolling through the streets of OKC, "I helped make that truck possible."
Once we start the truck, we hope to give cooking classes on a regular basis as well as be advocates for local businesses and helping agencies in our community.
Every dollar is important and we thank you so very much for dreaming with us.
Our Kick Starter Goal is 7,500.00. (Motor and Decorations) Our Stretch Goal is $20,000 which will allow us to purchase extra equipment and have capital to help with other purchases and expenses.

The challenge lies in the expertise needed to do some of the work. For example, making sure the plumbing and electrical are at and above code. Also, the replacement of the engine and making sure we can actually be mobile.
The way we will overcome these challenges is (with the help of your donation) hiring professionals to perform the tasks that we are unable to.

Although none of our menu items will have much competition in Oklahoma City, we are excited about our dishes that are truly Louisiana or truly Puerto Rican. Our roast beef poboys will be unmatched and our Puerto Rican Pork Roast (pernil) just melts in your mouth. And that is a recipe that has been handed down through my family. With much of our food, the preparation is what makes it soooooo delicious, not just the fresh ingredients.

Puerto Rican cuisine has its roots in the cooking traditions and practices of Europe (Spain), Africa and the Amerindian Taínos. In the latter part of the 19th century, the cuisine of Puerto Rico was greatly influenced by the United States in the ingredients used in its preparation.

Because of our limited space we will not have a full menu every day. We will have our most popular dishes, and daily specials. We will post our specials on Facebook and Twitter Daily.

We have two possibilities:
Option A: We park Downtown for lunch and move around at night.
Option B: We move around to different locations for both lunch and dinner.We do plan to participate in H and 8th as well as Live on the Plaza. We will also be at some of the festivals around OKC.
