The forces of light allied with the forces of nature, can defeat the forces of darkness.

 After the loss of his family, a young man finds out that he is the descendant of a race of genetically engineered warriors, who once defeated an ancient army of Monsters. The dark army was imprisoned long ago on the most desolate place on earth.  Surrounded by the largest body of water. This place would later be know as Hawaii. 

About this project
What motivates you?  What are the factors that motivate and drive our major life choices?  Why do we not chase our dreams and follow the path we want to?  We only get one chance.  Why not live a life worth remembering?  People think that to strive for a happy life is a foolish luxury that the average person cannot afford.  Maybe, but I don’t believe that.  I had heard something once when I was really young.  “The regrets of Maturity were once the dreams of Youth.”   Even as a child heading into his teens, this made sense to me.
This is project came about the moment I realized the life I was living is not the life that's true to my  heart... and, as a result, this is one thing I decided to do about it!   To create something that would feed my soul, inspire others and to have the chance to work with people that I love and admire.

Our lead actor Cole Horibe is now competing on So You Think You Can Dance. Cole is a very talented guy and can pretty much do anything.  From martial arts, to dancing and acting.  Take a look at Cole in action!

We (a motley crew of artist, actors, stuntmen and students of life) have off and on done whatever we could to capture and edit the stories we are trying to tell. We have spent long nights, weekends and holidays after work, shooting when we can.  Whenever people were available, with whatever we had to film with.  It has been an interesting, crazy, fun and exhausting few years.

  The journey of creating these characters and making this series has changed our lives forever.
I  knew we had something special when we started. Yet, I had no idea how powerful the stories and the experience of working with this group was until we started to cut the footage.

DRAGONFLY is a supernatural, martial arts, science fiction, drama with stories based on real Hawaiian myths and legends. 
We have been promoting our project for over five years and have gotten great positive response to it.  We have had numerous articles in print, on television and on the internet about our project since we introduced it to the public in 2007.

We have been successful in filming much of the initial episodes, which include elaborate costumes created using 3D technology.  The technology lets us design pieces digitally and print them out on a 3D printer.  As we know it, not many, if any, companies have used this method for costume design and construction.

Our production company is based in Hawaii utilizes the resources around us.  We feel that showcasing the natural beauty of the land and local talent is important and would love if our production helped put Hawaii on the map as viable destination for others in the film industry.
 
 
Reaching our goal with Kickstarter,  would ensure that we complete our goal of finalizing the first eight episodes of DRAGONFLY.  We would be able to support our daily production needs and advertise our project.  We will also try to merchandise items so as to perpetuate our series after the kick start is used up.

 
 
Unfortunately, our greatest asset is also our biggest challenge.  Being a small company from Hawaii, we don’t seem to get the confidence from others that we feel we deserve.  We are easily overlooked because we are not in Los Angeles or New York or just generally because we’re out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. 
We have tried to overcome this challenge by testing the market for our show in various areas through the internet.  We have placed trailers and other promotional items in international chat groups, bulletins boards, and social media sites with much positive feedback.  We feel that that only way we can really prove ourselves is to “show ‘em” and that is what we have been doing with what we have had available.

Another challenge for us is creating specific interest in the story we want to tell.  We know we are good company when it comes to creative and hard working teams in film and television.  There are many great stories to tell and good teams to tell them.  We do firmly believe that we have a brilliant storyline, an amazing team and the ability to bring these elements together.

Ikeda Shunsuke, better know for his role as "Ichiro" on the Kikaida 01 series. Ikeda was very excited to be a part of this series, he was a childhood hero of mine. His interest alone, validated my efforts. We lost Ikdea to cancer two years ago.

Can you pledge outside the U.S.?
Absolutely. Orders are processed through Amazon, which operates in the far majority of countries. We also include international shipping for free!
Can I change levels after I pledge?
Yes, you can. If you can't decide between two levels, pledge the smaller one - and up until the end of the campaign you can change it to the higher level (and still get all the rewards)!
Can I give this as a gift?
Yes, again! Once the campaign is over, we will reach out to confirm shipping addresses, how your name should appear in credits, and other details. You can provide us with the information for the lucky gift getter!
Can I get more information about larger pledge levels?

What happens if we don't reach our goal?
We get nothing! You aren't charged and we don't receive any of the funding. Don't worry, this won't happen! It's going to be amazing! :)
What happens if we go over the goal?
We make a larger impact on thousands of more people! We get to receive any funds that go over our goal - and will funnel those back into the series to continue our work!
