Help me take my workshops online - Visceral Magick, Possession, Enchantment, and many other witchcraft topics.
For many years I've been teaching workshops on various aspects of Traditional Witchcraft, both here in Los Angeles and at events such as PantheaCon in Northern California and Shadow Harvest in North Carolina. Whever possible, I travel to teach workshops elsewhere as well.
But there are a lot of places I'd love to teach - and where there are people who want me to teach - that are too expensive to get to. For that reason, I want to make my workshops available online, live and recorded, both via Pay-Per-View and by Skype-powered virtual workshops at stores and homes around the world.
Interaction with those attending the workshops is very important to me, so live streaming or video-conferencing is essential, but equally inportant is the ability to show practical techniques from different angles, so a multi-camera setup is needed.
I already have the cameras, but I need a video mixer that can output a video-streaming compliant feed, and the most cost-effective solution is the Roland VR3. So I am trying to raise the funds to add this to my toolbag, in order to be able to provide completely professional results, and enable me to share my workshops with all who want to participate, no matter where they are in the world.
I will also be helping several other authors to bring their workshops to the world wide web in the same way.

There will be two types of workshop resulting from this project.
The first one is the Pay-Per-View Workshop. These will be accessible online from any computer or device, and for a small fee, you will be able to sit at your computer and enjoy the workshop, interacting via text chat to ask questions, etc. After the fact, the workshop will be made available to stream or download for a small fee, so if you could not join in live, at least you won't miss the information. I will be setting up a website specifically for this, so all the workshops hosted by my fellow authors and myself will be in one easy-to-find location.
The other type is the Virtual Workshop. This will be run in partnership with a metaphysical store, and to attend you wouldreserve a seat and go to the store, just like for a regular workshop. Basically, I would connect to the store via Skype, using a large TV or projector to display my portly form so everyone can see and hear me, and the webcam on the computer connected to the screen or projector would feed me video and audio from the store. That way, I would be able to see and hear the attendees, and questions and answers would take place just as they do in a regular workshop. In this way, my fellow authors and I could undertake "virtual tours" and teach classes in stores around the world, and because there would not be the travel and accommodation costs involved, the fee to attend the workshops could be kept at an affordable level.

I've done a whole bunch of different workshops over the years - for seven years I taught classes at Raven's Flight in North Hollywood, everything from Wicca/Witchcraft 101 to courses on alchemy and ceremonial magick. Lots of different topics, covering both practical technique and the philosophy and lore of Traditional Witchcraft.
In recent years I've been know for topics like Visceral Magick, Enchantment, Witchcraft of the British Isles, and my practical spellcrafting series, Craftwise.
