I asked Image for copies but they haven't shipped them out. I think we're going to combine book one and two for shipping right now. We're going to solicit the second volume for April in the book catalog, and right now Matthew has about 60 pages to go. He's filling in on a few issues of Gladstone's School for World Conquerors to keep it on schedule. If those ship on time, we'll include some copies and the first trade came out, so I'm going to upload the PDF for backers soon. I'll try to update more frequently, this next month, and then starting with 2012.

      Mark,

Do you know when/if Vol. 1 was shipped?

Also, will you be appearing and/or signing at NY Comic Con?

We're going to ship them soon, if you just ordered volume one. If you ordered them together we're going to ship them together when book 2 is out. I'll check to see if they the first volume orders went out yet.

I'll do my best to ship out volume 1 if the backer is just getting volume one. So you have it for when school is starting Ana.

If a backer is getting Vol.1 only, when might those be shipped out? Now that school is just around the corner, I'd love to pass along the first book to a youth program my daughter is involved with in upstate NY.

Thank you Vanessa! I think that was one of the best and most honest interviews I've done and it resonated with a lot of people. We're really overwhelmed and enthusiastic about the support and how much people have gotten behind us.

I saw your article in Wired. You speak the rational truth about the comic market for indie comic artists. It's nice to see someone who is assessing the market accurately and looking for ways to make it anyways. Very Inspiring.
      Good Luck!

Thank you Charlene. Matthew is doing the art and he is the co-creator. For the first book we actually had about six colorists working on it to meet the deadline. I think for the new one we'll have a few of our favorites back and they'll do longer sections. Image should be putting out the second book and the fundraiser is for lettering and coloring production costs which mount up a lot on a 200 page book. Thank you for your write up Charlene!

Hey, we just showcased your project on http://www.comicsvox.com

I was just wondering - is the same artist doing the colours and lettering as the first book and is it still being put out by Image? Thanks and good luck :)

Thank you Todd, I really like Kickstarter because we get to connect with people and I said before we put the first book out and didn't hear from anyone. By doing this it's great because we get to interact and hear encouraging comments that get us excited and more energy for the second book.

Hi Roberto! There are no extra shipping charges for international. I think if you buy the book and we send it out and break even but we have a new reader that's a win.

My kids were huge fans of the first book as well. So, glad to hear there will be a second volume and I am happy that I can help support that.

Hi, Mark, I was wondering about shipping charges since I live in Mexico City, I want the Vol 1 and 2 package and was wondering how much would it be for those. Thanx!

Thank you Greg, that means a lot to hear. On the first book we anything. I'm really appreciative of Kickstarter and value the interaction here because we get to hear things like this which are motivating and inspiring as we work on the second book. Thank you so much.

I have been looking for the release of the second book since the I read the first one.
This was the first "long book" I could really share with my then 5 year old son and I think it really helped him understand the potential joy to be found in books.
I really hope this keeps growing.

Thank you Kurt, I think they will when the second volume comes out. It should be a good boost for the first one. I can't wait for people to be able to read what we're coming up with right now. It's fun.

      HI Mark,

Thanks for the response. Looking at the levels, given its 16 for the first volume and 20, for the second, I would put the combo at around 35-40, maybe 50 if you autograph them as well.

      Regards,
      -W

      Hi Walter,

They told us to keep it simple to about 5 items. So we didn't put the cumulative option on there, but we might. Can I get your input about what would be good for the cumulative level with both together?

    32. Missing_thumb
Walter Boyle on February 28, 2011

Are the rewards cumulative? I'd like to be able to get both volumes of the graphic novel, but don't see a level where that is an option.

      Regards,
      -W
