      I think it is legit what you asked. My point was 1, don't blame the KS and 2, it can be hard to balance updates. We all have opinions and they are all valid to some degree. Name calling is not cool as we should be able to disagree without that. Sorry it happened to you . Hope you stay in and enjoy the book. Thanks for your response. Vfun to "meet" other backers.

      Word. I agree with you on everything except for the number of updates. I've backed quite a few Kickstarter drives and the updates on those drives updated the backers with new info. But that's beside the point as I've now learned how to modify the settings.

      As for my feeling foolish, I do feel foolish for backing this project as I tried to be polite in asking for less updates and was called a "douche." I'm honestly unsure if it's worth supporting someone's work if an honest attempt at a polite question leads to personal insults by the other backers. Or maybe I'm still saddened over the assault to my character. The latter is more likely and I'll probably continue to support Mr. Stokoe regardless.

      I am sorry to any and all if I offended you with my attempt at a polite question.

      Please, calm all. Whatever you do and/or feel don't put anything on the folks doing this book. Enjoy what you like, but comments, either way, shouldn't reflect on the folks unless they make them themselves. Over 2k people pledged so hard for them to balance, plus they want the funding support and growth of course! Kickstarter updates are the great debate on every one I have supported. Too many? Too few? Who knows, everyone is different. We are close to enjoying a great book and KS is a way to promote and fund your product, not simply a pre-buy, so I am personally ok with the updates and the push for promotion.

      I'm not mad at all. I honestly am sorry if I offended you by asking for less updates. In my defense, this was before I was aware the update settings could be modified. Also, you have made me feel a bit foolish for enjoying the work of Stokoe. I didn't realize enjoying that work and then pledging support to one of his projects would draw insults when I asked for less updates.

      Now I feel kinda dumb for enjoying James Stokoe's Orc Stain book.

      Thank you. I understand getting updates if a stretch goal is reached, but announcing 1/4 of the way to a goal as a sneaky way of spamming us to spam others is kinda obnoxious.

      @Kenny, if you don't want to receive updates you can simply click on your 'Me' icon on the top right and click on 'Edit Settings'. Click on the 'Notification's Tab' and turn off notifications for any/all kickstarters. Some people actually like the updates because we are trying to get to 80k to get the slipcase. http://bit.ly/LikbRC

       Kenny is a douche. Of course were selling this book for them, that's why its a Kickstarter! I have no problem using the internet to bring attention to this amazing work. Plus, the more people we bring on board, the more money the authors have to give us more unlocks! MARK AND JAMES, DON'T GIVE KENNY ANY UNLOCKS, HE OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T WANT THEM.

       The updates for this project are less than useful. I'm not going to sell your book for you. I'm considering cancelling my backing just to avoid the updates.
