Cosescha is a dream of mine that I hope will come together soon. It is a small, family run cafe in the heart of downtown Oakland.

Cosecha, (Harvest in English), is a cafe inside of Old Oakland's historic Swan Market. The cafe is the creation of chef Dominica Rice. I am inspired by my Mexican American upbringing and the traditional food we shared at the table. We will offer our customers high quality Mexican and California dishes using an abundance of fresh ingredients available in the Bay Area. We will prepare everything from scratch everyday, including handmade tortillas and complex traditional entrees, as well as seasonal salads and soups. We will commit to using meat, poultry, fish and produce grown sustainably and organically and strive to provide high quality, affordable meals that can be eaten inside or on the go. For the past fifteen years I have dedicated my life to working in the best restaurants in the US and abroad, such as Chez Panisse in Berkeley. I want to bring all of my experiences to Cosecha.
