Fork & Anchor CSA to launch in June!
We're so happy to announce that thanks to your support, the Fork & Anchor Summer 2012 CSA will kick off the second week of June! We will be receiving boxes of freshly-harvested vegetables for our CSA members from Tom Hart of Deep Roots Farm in Orient and certified-organic fresh-cut herbs from Chris Gaipa of Garden Fusion in East Marion. For twenty weeks, each member will have a box of delicious, organically grown vegetables and herbs which they'll pick up in the barn at Fork & Anchor on Friday afternoons.
Some examples of what will be included: Peas, beans, leeks, onions, kale, collards, salad greens, head lettuce, spinach, cabbage, broccoli, beets, carrots, eggplants, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, summer squash, chard, celery, garlic, garlic scapes, okra, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, melons, marjoram, Thai basil, rosemary, and pineapple sage. Yum!
Deep Roots Farm also raises livestock in an environmentally sustainable manner and as an "add-on" to the CSA will be providing fresh eggs and pasture raised chickens.
We look forward to seeing you soon at the store and having you taste the North Fork's delicious produce. We're working on getting the custom Fork & Anchor tote, yo-yo, and t-shirt produced and will send another update when they arrive...thanks for your patience here!
