Fork & Anchor is a General Store inspired by two food-loving ladies with an equal affection for urban life, the sea, and the agricultural paradise of Long Island's North Fork. The store is situated in a growing community of farmers and winemakers, and will become a meeting place offering prepared foods, a variety of sundries, and a selection of homespun products, many of which have their origins in NY state.

We are taking over the space which is currently operating as a convenience store and has served locals and visitors for several years. The location is a prime thoroughfare between Greenport and Orient, and is on route to the Orient Point ferry, the transfer point between New England and Long Island. Our store is the designated East Marion stop for the Hampton Jitney, with no other convenience store within 10 miles on the Main Road.

NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP...

We will be enhancing the pre-existing space by incorporating grocery items and prepared foods inspired by the local produce, vineyards and maritime roots of the area. The outdoor space surrounding the store includes a 2,000 square foot barn, which we are seeking to renovate. The barn will serve as an extension of the store, the home of the Fork & Anchor CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), our own herb garden to include in our CSA, and an art space to support local artists.
