About this project

The Project "Migrations"  is an original Visual Music, globally co-created performance. "Migrations" is designed for a new theatrical experience utilizing The Vortex Immersive Dome Theaters which can also travel anywhere to create unique location performances. 

Composers No'a Winter Lazerus and Francois LeRoux (HA!Man) along with Visual Artist and visionary Audri Phillips and four extraordinary "Guest Artists", Sonja Drakkulich, Benjii Simmersbach, Octavius and Spencer Ludwig, will explore the nature and concept of migrations. ALL PROCEEDS ARE SHARED BETWEEN THE ARTISTS CREATING "MIGRATIONS" AND THIS IS A GLOBAL COLLECTIVE VISION THAT INCLUDES ALL PARTIES INVOLVED. We are looking to create a new cutting edge format for visionary performance that can be presented intact virtually anywhere thus making "Migrations" a new tech/art/collective experience between performers and audience. We also want to acknowledge and thank Ed Lantz of Vortex for the use of the Vortex Immersive Dome for this performance and rehearsals and Woodbury University Animation Department for it's support in the very important media processing for Audri Phillips creation of the cutting edge "Dome Masters" for "Migrations". 

From the remarkable epic journeys of birds and whales going from one part of the Earth to another, to the micro-movements of genetics, DNA, atoms, and viruses. From the diasporas of whole peoples and cultures, with the shifting and sharing of ideas, philosophies, languages,and even the emotions of the human heart, to nature's weather patterns, and the dance of planets, seeds and stars. 

The show consists of two 40 minute long original visual music performances involving artists from around the world. "Migrations" can also be a traveling dome show which can be presented anywhere via the portable Dome Theaters which offer a very exciting possibility for "Migrations" to truly migrate artistically around the world. From Times Square in NYC to a mountaintop outside of Madrid, Spain. 

The performance is being created specifically to engage the full capability of the "Immersive" experience sonically and visually. 

The first performance will be held in Los Angeles on Nov. 6th, in the Vortex Dome Theater at the LA Center Studios. All of the artists will be gathered for the event from their various home worlds to express their vision here in Los Angeles. It is our exciting first step and we ask you to be a part of creating this possibility for new ways to offer extraordinary event experiences. 

"Migrations" is co-creative, global and offers a new audience experience of Visual Music never before presented. A performance that can be placed in a Dome Theater and performed in it's fullness in the most unique, migratory locations on Earth.
