Filmmakers attempt to make a documentary about the Black Angel and experience supernatural phenomena.
Trailer Explanation
We wanted everyone to be able to understand the concept of the movie so we decided to film this trailer. While we are filming the movie, any scenes that appear in the trailer will be reshot if we decide to keep them.
We Need Your Help
We are asking for the minimum amount we need to be able to make this film. We are in need of more equipment than we currently have. We also need to be able to rent a secluded property to film at as well as other expenses that we will run into. We can certainly use more than our minimum so that we can tell this story in the way it deserves.
What The Film Is About
It will be a documentary mixed with a horror narrative. The narrative is about a group of people making a documentary on the Black Angel and while they are doing so strange things start to happen that they can't explain. We want to meld these two different filming styles together much like the Black Angel is rooted in fact and fiction. We have a few storyboards to show you.
A Brief History On The Black Angel
In 1911 Theresea Dolezal Feldwort commissioned an angel statue to commemorate her son's grave. The statue was made out of bronze and was supposed to shine brighter with age. Due to natural oxidation by the elements and smoke from nearby chimneys the angel turned black.
However, some people believe that there was more to it than simple natural causes. They believe that something otherworldly caused the statue to turn black. There have been numerous stories about supernatural events that have transpired due to contact with the statue. One example would be that if you kiss the angel then you will die.
About Us
We are two independent filmmakers from Iowa. We have always had a fascination with the supernatural and we really want to explore fact and fabrication in this film. There's no better subject than the Black Angel with its local appeal and worldwide intrigue.
