Art of the Pin-Up Girl is a musical romp through the history of American pin-up from 1919 (when Vargas painted the Ziegfeld girls) to the present day delightful resurgence of pin-up culture across the globe. Featuring 15 original songs and the imagery of the greatest pin-up artists of all time - this show is the pin-up come to life and tells the stories of the real women who modeled for these iconic pieces of art - their lives, their loves and their scandals - and shows the powerful influence of pin-up in our culture. 

We are currently seeking $5000 to produce a staged reading of Art of the Pin-Up Girl in Spring/Summer 2012.  

These funds will go towards:  theatre rental, technical aspects, script/CD duplication, merchandise, rehearsal space, travel, marketing and promotion, musicians, hair/make-up, costume elements, food & beverage, programs, video/photo for documentation and social media purposes, and more.

The staged reading will be directed by Suzi Birdsey Rubin, and will star New York actor David Rubin in the role of Baron von Lind, serving as the narrator for the piece.  

This project will be available to experience through social media every step of the way!

Art of the Pin-Up Girl has been a project 10 years in the making.  The concept has been fully researched and developed and the script is based on the real-life stories of the artists and their muses, as we see the pin-up come to life throughout moments in history.  Pin-Up is a wonderful niche and there are pin-up lovers all over the world who already subscribe to our social media outlets.  They are eagerly waiting and ready to support the progress of this project!  We even have a App for your Smartphone:  http://artofpinup.app.gp/
