One Million Faces: Family Time
On February 26th, 2009, inspired by Bon Jovi, I founded a massive community art project called One Million Faces. The One Million Faces (OMF) project is an experience that blends art with heart. It’s my goal to photograph 1,000,000 faces, and ROCK them all! For the past 3.5 years I've traveled around the world capturing stories and photos for this project.

On June 9th and 10th, 2012, as part of the OMF project, I photographed this battalion of soldiers from the Colorado Army National Guard with their families. This OMF event was sponsored by Staff Sgt. Heath Taglione and his wife, Karen, (pictured above) as a gift to his fellow soldiers and their families.
What do you want to Kickstart?
The goal of this Kickstarter campaign is to create a fine art book for each family to have in their home by mid-November. Something tangible to hold during the year while their loved one is away.

On July 15, 2012 we brought the art show to their deployment ceremony!
Experiencing their friends, family, and themselves as works of art, the families inspired us even more (as if that was possible!) and gave us the idea for this book.
FINE ART REWARDS
Limited Edition Fine Art Prints: A Quote by Plato, Sacred Fire, Joe the Soldier, Situational Awareness, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Over. Editions set at 100, each one printed at OMF HQ and signed by the artist.
Where does the money go?
Self-publishing is expensive. With an estimated 140 pages, hard cover on premium paper, this book is a massive undertaking! The remaining funds pay Kickstarter fees, produce and deliver rewards for all the campaign backers.
Can you exceed your goal?
YES!! Exceeding our goal allows us to make additional copies of the book to send to the soldiers serving in Kuwait. Funding beyond our initial production goals provides for more copies of the book to sell in stores, more photo shoots, more art, more OMF!
What happens if the money isn’t raised by the time the project ends?
Being positive people of action and visualization, we don't like thinking about that outcome. However, the truth of the matter is this, it’s all or nothing. If our goal of $18,000 is not met before the deadline, no money changes hands and no books are printed.
When can I expect my awesome reward?
Rewards are distributed only if we meet our goal. Once our goal is met, the OMF team jumps into action and all rewards are produced, shipped and scheduled.
I'm not in the US. Can I still pledge support for your project?
Yes. You can pledge from anywhere in the world. International shipping fees apply.
Do you really think you're going to photograph 1,000,000 faces?
We do. We're well on the way, but we're not going to get there without you and all your friends and family. Thanks for spreading the word.
