About this project
This has been a very long journey, life I mean. Music has been a huge part of that life especially as of late. Why music? Because music gives me a tremendous opportunity to create, meet new people, and challenge myself.
What is this album about?
This album is about telling my recent stories. It is about expressing the excitement I have for music. It is a culmination of the music I have grown up on and loved. It is about love, passion, girls, friends, days, nights, and everything else normally beautiful. This album is about us.
Who worked on the album?
I did most of the writing, production, and performance on the album. There are some guest verses from two VERY talented rappers: Tyler Thomas and Yuri Jones. Ian Mackenzie did a lot of the drum tracking. Kurt H. Schneider produced a song as well. I consider all of my friends and musicians that I love to have helped greatly on this album, it is a product of their influence.
Is there album art yet?
Kevin Murney is doing all of the album art. We are doing a cover for every song and releasing every song separately as a single.
What programs do you use Jake!?!?!?!?
I recorded everything in Logic using stock and Kontact 4 instruments. For tracking I used and sm7 microphone through a rupert neve portico 2. For mixing I used all wavs plug ins.
What is the goal of this record?
To share my music with as many people as possible through visuals released online and live shows.
How much will the album cost?
It will be released both for free download and for purchase, giving fans and friends the choice of supporting the record through purchasing it and or sharing it with friends for free.
