We're raising money to send the ENTIRE Los Angeles "FTR:Tarantino" team to perform in the world theatrical debut in Austin during SXSW.

For The Record: Tarantino In Concert will be making it's theatrical debut at The Long Center for the Performing Arts in Austin, TX during the SXSW Film/Music Festival.

In order to send the whole team of 28 (cast, band, and creatives) we need to raise some funds!! WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please help keep this wonderful & amazing team together. Help us debut our passion project with everyone who has worked so hard and brilliantly to make the show everything it is.

Tarantino In Concert” was originally staged a year and a half ago in Los Angeles as the first show in the “For The Record” series which celebrates songs and moments from the body of work by a featured director.  A talented troupe of performers that includes a rotating ensemble of Film, Television, Record and Broadway talent come together to present this unique fusion of music, theatre and film that brings motion pictures to life in a concert setting. Other shows in the series have included “For The Record: Coen Brothers,” “For The Record: Baz Luhrmann,” “For The Record: John Hughes” and stagings have been mounted in Los Angeles, Palm Springs and New York.

Conceived and Directed by Shane Scheel and Christopher Lloyd Bratten, “For The Record - Tarantino In Concert” is a perfect addition to Austin during the SXSW festival as it, too, brings together music, film and interactive mediums.  The design team include Emmy® Award winning Lighting Director Travis Hagenbuch, Matthew Steinbrenner (Art Director / Oscars) and Perry Freeze.  Creator Shane Scheel states, “To watch this idea and show grow over the past year and a half from an intimate concert in front of about 40 friends to now performing at The Long Center for the Performing Arts for over 2000 people has been an incredible journey.” Scheel continues, “Having Quentin Tarantino come to see ‘For The Record: Tarantino In Concert’ and absolutely love it reaffirmed that what we are presenting is truly something special and unique.”

Unquestionably a master of modern American film, Tarantino has also mastered the art of the movie soundtrack with song choices that have helped define his signature style. This 25th anniversary retrospective highlights hit Tarantino directed films including Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Four Rooms, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2, Death Proof, and Inglourious Basterds.

The "FTR: TARANTINO" team includes the cast: Tracie Thoms (Tarantino’s “Death Proof”, "RENT", "Cold Case"), Anneliese van der Pol (Disney’s “That's So Raven”), Jackie Tohn (Bravo’s “Platinum Hit”), Von Smith (Fox’s “American Idol”), Rogelio Douglas Jr. (Broadway's In The Heights), Ginifer King (Broadway's Gypsy), Jason Paige (Blood Sweat and Tears), Darryl Semira (Broadway's Mamma Mia). Anderson Davis (Broadway's South Pacific), Steve Mazurek (TNT’s “Hawthorne”), Ben Goldberg (NBC’s “ER”), Lisa Datz (Broadway’s The Full Monty), Danielle Truitt (Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog”) and introducing Tawny Dolley, Dionne Gipson, Tinuke Oyefule and Margaret M. Spirito. The For The Record Band, lead by co-creator Chris Bratten on the keys, includes Nick Perez (guitar), Jonny Morrow (bass), and Keil Feher (drums). The creative team is lead by Emmy award winning lighting designer Travis Hagenbuch and includes Matt Steinbrenner (set), Perry Freeze (video), Jake Simpson (sound), Angela Pupello (choreography), Edward Allen, Ben Caron, and Daniel Hartman, with Producers Shane Scheel and Siobhan O'neill.

Experience what the Los Angeles Times describes as “searingly visceral… the movies sing!” Entertainment Weekly declares as “cutting edge.” The Insider proclaims “A night of entertainment doesn’t get better than this,” and Frontiers Magazine’s Kevin Taft raves, “This is  truly a must-see this season, and I have to say this was the best theatrical experience I had all year. And I can’t wait to go again."
