Most people, whether interested in fashion or not, know that September is a special month for the Fashion industry. This is when all the important runway shows are held all over the world in major cities.

This September I have qualified to enter my garments into a fashion show called "Emerging Trends" during Boston Fashion Week 2010. The event is held at the The Castle, Boston Park Plaza Hotel in downtown Boston. The venue is stunning and is expected to have up to 700 guests which include industry leaders, fashionistas, photographers and other fabulous people.

For this show I am designing 5 ensembles as a Fall Collection. My usual design aesthetic is vintage girly and a comparable design theme would be clothes sold through Anthropologie or the designer Nina Ricci. This particular collection I am working with colors such as silver/gold, hot pink, navy and black. Fabrics include silks, velvets and wool suiting. Lots of embellishments and surprise design details. There will be casual and dressy items. I have 3 months to finish this collection for the show which is on September 25, 2010.

What I need help with, is funding to be part of the show. The entrance fee for a designer wishing to have 5 garments includes such amenities as: 5 models provided to you, a hairstylist, a make-up artist, publicity/exposure/audience, music and one VIP ticket to the event. Since the fee is more than I can raise on my own your donation would be so helpful in getting me to this event.
