Hello again friends and supporters.

I have been hard at work finishing the record.

In fact, I am literally listening to a mastered version of the record for the first time as I write this. I got it from the mastering engineer late last night. It sounds wonderful and I am really glad it is almost time to share it with you and the rest of the world.

We also have the cover design and are just figuring out the right font and the final edits of the liner notes. We are getting really close. I am hoping to get everything to the manufacturers in the next week or so and we will have a finished record in a month or so. 

I want to apologize for not having this done by June like I predicted. My goal is to make the best record I can possibly make and I felt it would be better to take a few extra weeks of re-recording, editing and mixing in between my touring dates to really make this record as great as it can be - rather than rush it and have it be almost as good as possible. So thanks for hanging in there with me.

I added trumpet and dobro and few more keyboard parts and re-sang some things. I also brought in my great friends John Schreffler, Brian Whelan, Aubrey Richmond and Jim Jedekin to add some harmonies, clarinet, accordion and pedal steel. I am really glad I took the extra time and I hope you will be too when you hear it.

For the contributors, I will be in touch again soon to get your addresses, shirt sizes and all that other information so I can fulfill every reward. I can't tell you all how much I appreciate you believing in me and my music and literally putting your money where your mouth is to enable this record to exist.

Hello everyone - friends, fans, music lovers and saints.

I want to thank you again for supporting me and my music. Whether by buying Night Owl in advance or donating more money to the cause, you have helped make me wonderfully proud and happy to be back at work on my next record. 

Please forgive me for not writing this thank you message sooner. The end of the fundraising campaign was just a few days ago and I have actually already been in the studio mixing for the last 3 days. I have taken the preliminary mixes home to study and make notes on and I will go back to finish mixing at the end of the month. I will also be doing another photo shoot for the album artwork then too. 

I am really enjoying what this record is becoming and I truly hope that this record is everything you are hoping it will be too.

Together we raised over $7,200. This is enough for me to finish and print up the CDs as well as bring in the publicist and European radio promoter I have worked with before to help spread the word about the record when it is done.

I will be in touch with more updates like this as I progress through the various stages of making the record. I want to keep you abreast of it all because you are the reason this is happening. I can't thank you enough.

If you contributed beyond the basic cost of the digital download of the record, I will also be in touch with you to get more information about your shirt size, your favorite song (for me to write out the lyrics or perform for you in a video), where and when I can put on a CD Release show (for you to be an honored guest) and in some cases where and when we will have the house concert.

Times are tough for us all in this economy, so thanks again for taking some of your hard earned money and supporting the arts (and in specific, mine). I won't let you down.

Hello again.

Today is the last day of the fundraising campaign for my next record, Night Owl. In the last 3 weeks we raised almost $5,500. We will have a new record and whatever we raise in the next 24 hours will go toward publicity and radio promotion! Now that we have a record we need to share it with the world.

Thank you to everyone who already supported. And Thank you again for all of you who helped spread the word too. If you can, please spread the word one more time and forward this on and help me create one more wave of awareness. I am really looking forward to finishing this record and all the ways I will be saying thanks to you all. I am really proud of the work I am doing on this record. I start mixing tomorrow and I am hoping you all love it.

Hello again.

I want to thank you all for singing onto Kickstarter and pledging to support my next record. We did it. We just passed the $5,000 mark!

This means at the end of the fundraising month I will have the money to finish the record and get it out to you as planned. I have my days of studio time booked in April. Then it is a matter of handling the artwork and manufacturing the discs themselves.

We still have 10 days of fundraising to go and I want to keep spreading the word to hopefully raise some more money to hire the publicists and radio promoters that I have worked with on my last few records. Now that we will have a record we believe in, getting it out into the world is the next step.
