About this project
I am on the enormously exiting, terrifying, patience-testing, faith building, joyous, mind bending process of completing my third record. It is an alternative/rock U2/Peter Gabriel/Tom Waites kind of record- The one I have always wanted to make.
I have a dream team of famous players, composers, studios, a great entertainment lawyer, and management in place, but we ALL need these songs completed to move forward. I have put in $7000.00 on a child care workers salary. Let's just say I could use a little push to finish-ok a big push!
On behalf of myself, Andy Korn, Jack Perla, Josh Lava, Jaimeson Durr, Cameron Morgan, Danny Cao, Rob Fordyce, Michael Stephenson, and Foley Entertainment, we ALL invite you to get on board for a ride
that is already shaping up to be stupid amounts of fun and joy and
really great music!
We need to come up with $10,000.00 to finish recording, mixing and mastering the record, get a photographer, a graphic designer and copies printed. After all that is complete it will be time to promote the record through college radio, touring, licensing and hanging upside down on Youtube to try and go viral.

UPDATE!
My Kickstarter Campaign I launched last week to raise money to finish recording my 3rd record has been fantastically successful. With 20 backers, together -in one week
we have reached my initial goal of raising $3500.00!!! I have been
humbled by the generosity and out pouring of enthusiasm for the long hard road
of following my dream.
Now comes the second week and round #2. Here is what I am inviting you all to help me with.
Would you be willing to sacrifice $25.00 to help me press cd's and start
the VERY expensive process of promoting the record? Let's put $25.00 into
perspective....
$25.00 = 5 lattes- a cheap dinner -a couple burritos and a couple soft
drinks- a pizza- a few drinks at the club .....You get the idea.

Amie Penwell was just voted runner up for Best Pop Arist of the year on listener voted radio Somojo UK!! Penwell was on the cover of Somojo Magazine for their Spring 2010 issue where she spent 10 weeks at #1 on the Urban Grooves Chart with her song What Would Love Do? off of her Self Titled EP. Penwell has played Yoshi's SF for the second time in 6 months, and has signed with 3 publishing companies for song placement one of them is with SBMP (South Beach Music Publishing) Penwell is heard throughout Asia and Australia.
In addition to using Amie's songs Mercy and Show Me To The River for Elephant documentary "Eye's Of Thailand" DVA Productions used Ending or Beginning off of Amie's critically acclaimed CD King In a Temple for Women's Health Specialist Commercial released in April of 2010
Penwell is recording the follow up to her critically acclaimed 2008 release at the famous Hyde St. Studios in San Fransisco with engineer Jaimeson Durr (Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani) drummer Andy Korn (Ronnie Spektor, Joey Ramone) bass player Rob Fordyce, and guitarist Cameron Morgan.
