The creative talent behind Brooklyn design studio Double Triple, Niemeyer’s clients have included Issue Project Room, New York Magazine, The Fiery Furnaces, and Spoon.
"Picturing the Past 10 Years," is a chart of icons summarizing the most prominent features of the decade. From Abu Ghraib, to Bennifer, to "crowd-source, Niemeyer’s uses simple icons and sparing text to break down the first decade of the 2000's by year. Art star Damien Hirst’s shark in formaldehyde even makes an appearance, the art marke Niemeyer’s choice for the defining culture story of 2008.
Categories like "Business," "Fear", and "Verb" further organize the decade. Endlessly fascinating for its identification of interests and events that gripped the nation and their pictorial representation, Niemeyer’s offset lithograph is a brilliant summation of the decade.
